I know it doesn't define every gay person, and some people with these traits are actually straight, but some of the common signs people look for to suspect that you're gay are:
men:
- speech patterns (e.g., lisps, words like "hun or fabulous", etc.)
- general gestures (e.g., limp wrist, feminine strut, etc.)
- showing no interest in women
- hating sports, but loving to shop/fashion
- over care for appearance
women:
- speech patterns (e.g., purposely deepening voice, raspy voice, etc.)
- style of dress (e.g., wearing baggy clothes, never wearing makeup)
- buff body type
- typical male hairstyle (e.g., mohawk, mullet, etc.)
- platonic relationships with men rather than any affection whatsoever
- general male interests (e.g., sports, mechanics, etc.)
both:
- highly liberal politically
- wearing rainbow accessories
- disbelief in god or any religion
- bad relationship with parents
- nervousness around attractive members of the same sex
I know, some of them are a little offensive. Don't bite my head off for it, that's just what I've noticed some people pick up on in my own personal experiences growing up.
